“There have been multiple "lightbulb moments" during the groups I've hosted, where it has made me very thankful these children have access to this program. On one occasion, I overheard a child, about 10 years old, say, "I never realized so many other kids my age, that go to my same school, had been through things like me. It's nice to not be the only one."
-Rainbows Facilitator
Rainbows Facilitator Training is comprised of various learning methods, including interactive exercises, quizzes and videos. The training takes approximately 8 hours to complete, and facilitators will have 24/7 access to the training for as long as they are actively running groups. After completing their training, facilitators will be granted access to the Facilitator Resource Center, where webinars, Facilitator forums, supplemental materials and other resource tools are available.
Rainbows Facilitators should use the Facilitator Manual to plan their group sessions. Facilitators may adjust lessons to groups as necessary. Facilitators may want to purchase additional supplies for their group(s). These materials can be purchased in our online store.
Rainbows Facilitators must be able to promote and fill groups on their own. They may use our logo if they create a brochure or modify our own marketing materials. Facilitators may also use the Marketing Toolkit found in the online Facilitator Resource Center.

Hi, we are Rainbows HQ Staff!
Headquarted in Evanston, IL, Rainbows got it's start 40 years ago in the Archdiocese of Chicago when a divorced mother, Suzy Yehl Marta, set out to create a program her sons could use to process the separation in a healthy way. Today, Rainbows can be found across 35 states, 2 U.S. territories, and 13 countries. We firmly believe in building communities of young people that can process grief and trauma together, and that no one should grieve alone.
