Finding Hope Amidst Crisis
It has been said that every cloud has a silver lining. This sweet poetic phrase seems out of touch and incomprehensible when our lives are touched by serious tragedy or crisis. This is the way of all traumatic change.
We look toward the undaunted human spirit for ways to seek meaning and understanding during our darkest hours. These dark hours are always unexpected, terribly unwanted, and can be emotionally paralyzing.
While there have been many situations where finding a relevant “silver lining” seems near to impossible, what people can do is bond together as a community within ourselves to bolster our hearts, lift our spirits, and ultimately rebuild. This community crisis response program for children/teens will help them ignite a spark of hope so that they can begin to feel safe again.
As crises occur, no matter the cause or reason, we desperately need to renew our belief in humankind to bolster and strengthen ourselves whenever there is a need for Silver Linings.
